Accelicon Technologieswww.accelicon.com, based in Cupertino California, is dedicated to providing innovative EDA solutions to the mixed-signal and RF IC market. Founded in 2002 by noted industry veteran Dr. Xisheng Zhang, the company currently claims over 40 customers worldwide and partnerships with all the leading EDA vendors. Accelicon currently has sales representation in North America, Europe, Taiwan, China, Korea and Singapore.
Accelicon sells the leading SPICE model analysis solution for Model Quality Assurance (MQA) and SPICE model generation software (MBP). MQA provides a critical link between Fab and design, comparing, documenting, and validating foundry-supplied models. Differences between technology nodes, library versions and even other foundry models can be assessed. MBP allows modeling engineer to tweak and optimize SPICE model library in order to best reflect silicon data and meet designer's particular requirement for a specific type of deign. Accelicon also provides SPICE modeling service for various types of devices and process technologies.Xisheng Zhang is President and Founder of Accelicon. He received his PhD EE degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing and has engaged in EE postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley. Mr. Zhang has 10 years of executive engineering management and engineering experience in EDA. He is a noted expert in Spice modeling and has built world-class engineering teams. Xisheng Zhang previously was VP R&D of Celestry Design Systems, which was acquired by Cadence.
Tim K. Smith is CEO of Accelicon. He received his BS EECS degree from UC Berkeley. Mr. Smith has 20 years of executive management, sales and marketing experience at high-tech software vendors selling into the semiconductor and electronic systems market. Before Accelicon he was CEO and co-founder of Optimal Planning Science. Mr. Smith spent 12 years of his career at Cadence Design Systems serving most recently as Sales VP for Major Accounts.
Yanfeng (Albert) Li is Vice President of Accelicon, he is responsible for driving Accelicon’s product developments, R&D activities and engineering management. Dr. Li received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, he earned his MS and Ph.D in Electronic Engineering from Vanderbilt University and Glasgow Caledonian University. Dr. Li has over 10 years of experiences in advanced device modeling, test-chip design and interconnect modeling and 6 years of executive engineering management. Before joining Accelicon in 2003, he was with Cadence Design System and PDF Solutions, where he served as design engineer and principle modeling engineer.
