Accelicon Appoints Brian Chen, PhD as Chief Scientist

Cupertino, CA – January 2, 2010 – Accelicon Technologies, Inc, the leading device-modeling solutions and services provider worldwide, announces the appointment of Brian (Qiang) Chen, PhD as Chief Scientist. As Chief Scientist, Brian Chen will provide product strategy guidance for the fast-growing device-modeling EDA Corporation. 

Brian Chen has extensive experience in advanced semiconductor design, transistor level modeling and EDA methodology development. As a Member of Technical Staff at AMD he conducted model extraction and device characterization for that company’s advanced-process SOI technologies and gained significant expertise related to modeling methodologies. Most recently Brian Chen served as an R&D Engineer at Synopsys working on DFM flow optimization.

Brian Chen holds a PhD and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also conducted post-graduate work, and an MS and BS in Engineering from the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University. His research has been published extensively, he holds a patent in advanced SOI fabrication technologies, and is an industry recognized expert in the device modeling field.
